"The Preface"

In order to show you how I'm going to change my room, you'll have to see how it looked before the renovation.
Ok, so I got my room when I was twelve and that explains A LOT. As every child all I wanted was a bunk bed and when I got it I was happy as a calm. But soon afterwards I got fed up with it - I cannot recall the last time time I slept on the top bed. Of course, I must admit that having an extra bed was useful when we had guests, who stayed overnight.

After I turned fourteen and entered the puberty there was only one thing on my mind: "You have to express yourself!" - I remember the tiny voice inside my teenage head repeating these words day after day. And my amazing parents allowed me to destroy my wall and furniture by hanging posters of my favourite bands and actors, my drawings, tickets and flayers on them.

As I stated earlier in the blog I turned eighteen so you can imagine how a young woman feels in a teenage room. Here is were my generous parents stepped in once again by giving me the freedom and resources to turn my personal space into the dreamy boudoir where I could rest, study, work and have fun. Until that happens I'm going to sleep on a mattress on the floor but that's a small price for a dream.

New start... literary

Hey there. I know it's been quite a while since I last posted something but now I'm back for good. During the next couple of weeks or so my blog is going to mainly about DIY furniture paint, wall decoration and organising because I'm redoing my room.
I'm about to get rid of my old furniture, my bunk bed, my wardrobe - everything! I already found the most amazing antique store and I fell in love with a couple of thing there. They need a serious renovation but with some paint and a lot of imagination they will look great.

The basic idea is the room to be a mixture of the Shabby Chic and Provence style. It sounds simple but that kind of furniture is extremely expensive in Bulgaria. That is why I'm going to have to turn cheaper furniture into beautiful French antiques. Every step of that makeover will be shared here. I have a bunch of ideas and I'm anxious to start!

18 and life

So two days ago I turned 18.

Wine, tears of joy, laugh and a fancy dinner with the love of my life - that was the cherry on the top. The dream! And this is me, entering the grown-ups world
And this is me 11 years ago when I first entered school. Can you spot the difference?
I'm in this really nostalgic mood, watching to old photo and competing who I was to who I've become.
Anyway, I keep these thoughts to me and my closest people. I'm having this big party tomorrow and I still haven't sent any of the indentations and I also have some work around the appartment. So, that's all for now. See you around.
Happy birthday to me,
xoxo, A.
